What is LoRa and it's applications

Why Trackster chose LoRa

We at Trackster have chosen to build our national IoT(Internet of Things) network using LoRa technology,

a long range, low power, wireless communication platform.

It works by using the unlicensed radio spectrum in the Industrial, Scientific and Medical (ISM) bands

to enable low power, wide area communication between remote sensors,
tracking devices and gateways connected to the network.

Currently both Mobile Phone (GSM) and WiFi networks connect phones, laptops,

tablets (20 Billion by 2020 globally) etc and now

with LoRa and LoRaWAN (Long Range Wide Area Network) there's a new smarter kid in town who'll connect anything and everything else. (1000 Billion by 2025 globally).

Long Range - Anything from 5 miles (inner city) to 30 miles in rural areas per gateway.

Secure- Absolute priority for us. Embedded end-to-end AES128 and AES 256 encryption/decryption

Geolocation - Low power tracking capabilities without the need for power hungry GPS.

Our Network

The project to roll out the first National, Commercial LoRa IoT Network over the next 12 months has started. Trackster will locate external gateways on 7000+ sites all across the UK and Ireland, providing a strong, robust and secure network, with maximum coverage capable of connecting and monitoring millions of commercial and domestic devices.
